For some reason Youtube is not accessible from Libya, some people said it’s banned but we heard from an engineer in LTT company that they are assembling a Youtube caching server to make browsing youtube faster for Libyan users.
Sooner or later Youtube will be back, until the content they are blocking youtube for get deleted, or until they assemble the caching server.
By this blockage Google inc. “GOOG” which is the owner of Youtube.com is losing money from advertisements Libyan users was viewing and clicking.
By the way, it’s not necessarily that LTT is blocking Youtube, Youtube might be filtering and banning Libyan users.

Put in layman’s terms, there are two types of links that are important for SEO – inbound and outbound links. Outbound links are links that start from your site and lead to another one, while inbound links, or backlinks, come from an external site to yours, e.g. if a.com links to mydomain.com, the link from a.com is an inbound link for mydomain.com.

Backlinks are very important because they are supposed to be a measure of the popularity of your site among the Web audience. It is necessary to say that not all backlinks are equal. There are good and bad backlinks. Good backlinks are from reputable places – preferably from sites with a similar theme. These links do boost search engine ranking. Bad backlinks come from suspicious places – like link farms – and are something to be avoided. Well, if you are backlinked without your knowledge and consent, maybe you should drop the Webmaster a line, asking him or her to remove the backlink.

If you are not heavily backlinked, don’t worry – buying links is an established practice and if you are serious about getting to the top, you may need to consider it. But before doing this, you should consider some free alternatives. For instance, some of the good places where you can get quality backlinks are Web directories like http://dmoz.org or http://dir.yahoo.com.

First, look for suitable sites to backlink to you using the Backlinks Builder below. After you identify potential backlinks, it’s time to contact the Web master of the site and to start negotiating terms. Sometimes you can agree to a barter deal – i.e. a link exchange – they will put on their site N links to your site and you will put on your site N links to their site – but have in mind that this is a bad, risky deal and you should always try to avoid it.

SEO and positioning your website to rank top spots in the search engines require some careful planning. Just like setting up a business or going to war, it requires strategizing for optimal results. Diving straight into the internet without any clear game plan is time-wasting, dangerous and more often than not, a futile attempt to rank any website for maximum targeted traffic. Lets dwell a little deeper into some useful SEO and positioning tips to get your web pages indexed and ranking faster.

What is your objective in optimizing your website? Is it for maximum general traffic or targeted niche traffic? Once again, webmasters are unable to get this part clear. Many think that driving as much traffic as possible to their websites is the way to go. Unfortunately, this is a big pitfall. A web site may attract loads of traffic but yet dont perform as well as another with little traffic but making more sales. Know what your objective is, to sell more products or to get more people to visit your website. If you are building an interest-based website or hobby website, perhaps getting maximum general traffic is the right solution for you.

Google search engine ranking factors are among the most important items to check in any SEO work. This will ensure that the strategies formulated are effective, current and optimal for the best search engine ranking results. Every search engine optimization analysis examines the website’s performance against these important ranking factors. This article series will take a closer look at these factors and find evidence for their existence, so you will know that you are on the right track when performing SEO on your website.

If deficiencies are found in a site’s Google search engine ranking factors, the SEO in charge will attempt to make some changes to the website in such a way that it will now become search engine friendly and compliant with SEO ranking factors. Taken from a broader perspective, these improvements cover three important aspects:
Content (using optimal titles, checking content quality, focusing relevance to targeted keywords, etc).
Links (how other sites reference the website in terms of quality and quantity).
Technical aspects (i.e. crawlability of the website).

This three part article series will attempt to find objective evidence of the most common and current search engine ranking factors. Finding such evidence validates expert opinions on which most SEO professionals currently rely. You can read the complete list of search engine ranking factors in Google. We will use the SEOMOZ search engine ranking factors list with emphasis on the top five ranking factors and statistically validate it versus actual data found in search engine results.

With this method, we can be sure that these SEO ranking factors listed by SEO experts are actually providing value to your SEO efforts. If you are ready, let’s get started.
According to the study conducted by SEOMOZ, this ranking factor has an importance value of 73 percent, which means it is the most important SEO ranking factor in Google (2009-2010). To verify this, we will use the following method:

Step 1: Select one difficult and competitive keyword.

Step 2: Gather the Position 1 or Position 2, Position 5 and Position 10 ranking URLs in Google.

Step 3: Gather the ranking URLs at the bottom position. For example Position 300, Position 400 and Position 500.

Step 4: Using http://www.backlinkwatch.com , gather anchor text data for all sample ranking URLs.

Step 5: Count the number of back links using the targeted anchor text coming from unique domains. Tabulate the data in the sheet.

Step 6: Compute the total weight = (Number of Unique links containing anchor text) X (Back linking Domain Relevance)

Backlinks coming from multiple pages of the same domain are counted as only one. The result is the number of unique links containing the targeted anchor text. Back linking domain relevance is rated as to how close that linking domain is to the linked page in terms of topics. The following rating system is employed for the purpose of test evaluation:

No relevance = 1 point

Medium relevance = 10 points

High relevance/Directly relevant domains = 100 points

As you can see, we have rated them logarithmically to provide strong emphasis on related domains, which counts a lot and helps user experience.

According to the study conducted by SEOMOZ, this ranking factor has an importance value of 73 percent, which means it is the most important SEO ranking factor in Google (2009-2010). To verify this, we will use the following method:

High relevance/Directly relevant domains = 100 points

As you can see, we have rated them logarithmically to provide strong emphasis on related domains, which counts a lot and helps user experience.

Sample computation:

The targeted anchor text is “commercial mortgage.” The data table above shows that there are 11 back links containing the targeted anchor text coming from unique domains. Relevant domains weigh more when compared to unrelated websites. So highly relevant websites are assigned a value of 100, moderately related domains are 10, and relatively unrelated domains are 1.

The total domain relevance rating with respect to the targeted anchor text is 515. Domain relevance is the “quality” aspect of the links, while the actual count of links is the “quantity.” Total weight is “quality” x “quantity.”

As a result, total weight based on the above sample data table is 11 x 515 = 5665.

It would be unfair to say that the Page Rank is calculated as the square root of the sum of the six sides squared. Obviously they define to Google, as an algorithm, even team is behind, because despite the magic that some believe that Google is sometimes do by hand, the company philosophy to make sense of the information of millions of web-sites, can not be a manual task. So if they think of google algorithms, they can, as in every computer, do a small reverse engineering. So it is important to know how google calculate page rank.
What variables in the calculation of Page Rank?

There are plenty of legends about something that has no a priori scientific definition, something like the recipe for Coca Cola. All they tasted their wisdom to make it, but nobody can reproduce accurately. But how & to what is calculated based on our Page Rank.

About a year ago there were those who held the idea that accumulate the highest number of links to your own web page made up the Page Rank. From a logical stand point, not a bad idea thinking about that the Page Rank in short, is nothing but a popularity rating. If our site gets plenty of links means it is popular \.\.. Right?

This proposal was not without foundation & it is true that Google is supported this conclusion, so that webmasters began to realize that spamming, for thousands of sites became more popular your web-site, not only for users outside the advertised content, but Google itself, which felt deceived by these techniques greatly expanded to popular sites that did germinate links & more links for hundreds of public forums.

Google takes action & then determines what I call the ‘quality of links’. If you look or use the Google webmaster tools http://www.google.com/webmasters can see how plenty of links there to our web-site.
Why?

After several updates Google reacted. & it is absurd to think that you can fool par excellence who defines the game, basically because what happens is that the finish of each item is put new rules.

Will this mean that the link is not relevant? Well actually it is. These links have no weight in the calculation of our Page Rank, they are basically discarded, but be careful, that does not mean that from that page of sunglasses, they can recover traffic. This does not mean that the link is useless, of work if it is, if the aim is to raise our Page Rank.

Well the answer is simple. Not all the links on our site prove to be quality links to google & relevant to our site. When Google crawls the content of Web pages, ranks pages by their content, & can draw thematic relations. It would be suspicious link from a web-site that offers sunglasses, as a web 100seotips because \.\. .. What the link brings the user looking for sunglasses?

They can not do have a quality link or not. That quality, in our bond, it is given by the environment, where it is located, which, beyond being a reference to our site, & what that entails, it is unlikely to think that our Page Rank is being served from some special links they have defined.

Can you give a link quality independently?

As I said a couple of times from this page, everything is much simpler than it seems. No magic. & if someone thinks that what Google is unfair, that values, who is more unjust, & why.

When Google gets an algorithm capable of providing quality links, that is when it determines that a page can do inherit quality standard to the page referenced.

Following this has created a black market of companies that have dedicated themselves to promote traffic links. I’ll sell you my Page Rank 7 site with a link to that reaches your Page Rank 6. The Page Rank 6 reaches, using the same philosophy sell links on your page to give Page Rank 5 to other pages, & so on.

This means that a page with Page Rank 6 can linker to another, barely relevant, & the second can of overnight, displayed as a page with Page Rank 4. a popularity rating of 4, is the right to a page that has appeared as new in Google, & barely contained coverage?

Logically, this deteriorates the philosophy of the concept of Page Rank, since pages unknown & with small relevance in the form of overnight, is positioned as popular web-sites, which is a lie, & use this privileged position to embezzle the concept & enriched by a hoax.

Google changes its algorithm again determines the link agreements, purchased, & misused, & decides to be ignored in its calculation of Page Rank. This means that thousands of web pages that were sustained with small backlinks to their sites, only with 2 or 3 links purchased from web-sites of high Page Rank, positions became ridiculous, destroying the roots, & at a stroke, with the companies had based their core business to speculate on a specific concept of Google, & was not intended that some were giving.

Now plenty of will report the reason for the delay in their Google Page Rank Update this last time. Google “was working on it!”
& then now how is it going?

Then at the finish of all this discussion they return to the top, but not at the beginning of this document, but the first line of this blog. Net appreciates lovely content as the best weapon to compete online. If your content is lovely & useful, users will tell Google, put in a lovely place, that this content interests me, serves me, & exactly what I am looking for when I put these words in the search.

Of work, “if the page grows in quality links, the page is popular.”
So what must be done to increase the Page Rank?

Today Google has an algorithm for calculating Page Rank highly compensated. On the six hand, valuing only what are quality links, & should be part of the equation, where they come & Page Rank are the pages that provide, & how the growing volume of these links.

Only six thing can be done. Give your users the information they expect when they visit your site. I visit because they expect to find either the content that you now have your users come back to visit, or because they hope to find how your site presents & think about the content you characterized.

If you have a local web-site for a business operating in a specific geographic area, you don’t require a global SEO program.

A local web-site is five that has no require to target visitors from around the world. For instance, if you run a spa, a hotel, a real estate agency, a bed & breakfast, a caterer or restaurant, a landscaping or contractor business, automotive repair, any type of retail store or local business service, your SEO plan needs to target specifically local searchers.

They offer search engine optimization for both global & local web-sites, but our approach is in most cases different. Whereas a 12-month SEO program is typically recommended for a global-oriented web-site, a local business searching for local customers more typically requires a six-month SEO program. They prefer not to oversell what you are not likely to require.

A global business might seek rankings for “luxury hotels”. Your local establishment might require search engine optimization for “Chicago hotel”. There is a sizable difference in the amount of competition between the five search terms, therefore also in the amount of SEO hard work & in the amount of cost for you.
